Volunteers needed (Cache Creek)

Do you have a passion for people of all walks of life, and some spare time one day a week, even for just a couple of hours? The Equality Project in Cache Creek is looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen by preparing food, washing dishes, and serving.

If you are interested, and want to learn more, contact The Equality Project at (250) 457-6485.

Volunteers needed (Clinton)

Organizers of this year’s Clinton Rodeo are looking for volunteers to help out with the concession during rodeo weekend (May 25–26), with help needed to prepare and cook food, wrangle french fries, take orders, wash dishes, and more. It’s a lot of laughs and fun along with the work, and the money raised at the concession will go towards the fund to build a splash park at Reg Conn Park. There’s a long way to go, but every little bit helps.

Even an hour of your time will help out. For more information, or to sign up as a volunteer, contact Sandi Burrage via DM on Facebook, or call or text (250) 852-1203.

Small business survey

Over the past few years, Community Futures Sun Country has heard, and continues to hear, stories from rural business owners about the challenging insurance situation they are facing.

In order to get a clearer picture of the current landscape, Sun Country has prepared a quick survey for business owners to complete, in order to obtain data that can be used to advocate for the area. Once the data has been assembled, they will be having discussions with other Community Futures offices, the area MLA and MP, and funders and other business support agencies.

Business owners are encouraged to complete the survey, which can be found at https://forms.gle/tTucbghnskP1W6Wm8. Individual responses are confidential, but will be represented as part of the overall total. The more data the better when it comes to educating others about the challenges related to rural business ownership and operation.
